   Flat, But Not Perfectly Flat

   The whole course gains only about 30 m, and it's flat, paved resort road. Those metres arrive as overpasses and cloverleaf ramps — short, so push them briefly and settle back into even pace.

   Dress for 21.6°C

   Typical race-day temperature is around 21.6°C, mild enough that a singlet and shorts are plenty. Don't overdress; you'll warm up once you're moving on the open roads.

   Decide on Character Stops

   The route runs through the Magic Kingdom with character sightings along the way. Pick your photo stops before the start — each one costs time and breaks your rhythm, so use them sparingly.

   Road Shoes Only

   Everything is paved: resort roads and park paths, no trails or gravel. Your normal road racing shoes are the right choice here.

• Getting to the Resort

  The Disney resort sits well southwest of downtown, and roads around the parks close early on race morning. Arrange your ride or shuttle in advance rather than counting on last-minute taxis.

• Where to Watch

  Spectators usually line the resort roadways and the areas outside the park entrances. To cheer inside the Magic Kingdom or Epcot, you need a park ticket, so plan accordingly.

• Recovering in Orlando

  Central Florida warmth and humidity make post-race cooling matter, so find shade and keep walking. Downtown's Lake Eola and Winter Park are easy, low-key places to stretch your legs the next day.
