Using Medal

By creating an account or using Medal, on the website or in the app, you agree to these terms. You must be at least 13 to have an account.

Race information

We work to keep dates, fees, courses and entry windows accurate, but organizers change them. The organizer's official website is the final word; check it before you travel.

Entries

When you enter a race through Medal, you're entering the organizer's event and agree to its rules, including minimum ages, cut-off times and medical requirements. A started entry holds your place for 30 minutes while you pay.

Cancellations and refunds

You can cancel an entry from your dashboard before race day. Refunds and transfers follow each organizer's policy.

Your account

Keep your password private and your details accurate; organizers rely on them, especially your emergency contact.

If you sign in with Apple or Google, your account is linked to that sign-in, and to the account with the same email if you already have one.

Race Club

Race Club posts and comments are public, shown under your handle. You're responsible for what you post, and you keep the rights to it; you let Medal show it on the website and in the app.

Medal has no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users. Don't post anything that is:

• harassing, threatening or hateful, or that targets someone for who they are;
• sexual, violent or otherwise obscene;
• spam, advertising, or selling or swapping race entries against an organizer's rules;
• someone else's private information, or a pretense of being someone you're not;
• illegal, or something you don't have the right to share.

Posts and comments are checked automatically, and anyone can report one or block its author. We review reports within 24 hours, remove content that breaks these rules, and suspend or close the accounts of people who post it.
