Avenue of the Giants2026

The first of two running events that take place among the majestic redwood forests of California’s Humboldt Redwoods State Park, the Avenue of the Giants Marathon offers much of the same breathtaking scenery as its autumn counterpart, along a course once described by Runner’s World as one of the nation’s most beautiful running routes.The course is a double out and back entirely on paved roads. The roads are lined with 300 feet tall old growth Redwood trees. While these provide shade and keep temperatures cool all morning, please note that they sometimes block out GPS signal on running watches.We’re proud to be an independently GREEN organization and one of the few remaining marathons not associated with corporate sponsors.
