In Oak Island

  • Race Day Traffic

Oak Island is a barrier island reached by bridges, so race-day traffic can be slow. Stay near your accommodations and walk or bike to the start if possible.

  • Spectator Spots

Spectators can often watch near public beach accesses, the pier, or waterfront parks. Expect road closures along the race route.

  • Coastal Recovery

After the race, take a gentle walk on the beach or by the Davis Canal. The town's laid-back, fishing-and-beach character makes for an easy recovery day.
