As Canada’s premier road racing event, the Tartan Ottawa International Marathon is a World Athletics Elite Label race that takes participants on a scenic journey through the nation's capital. The course is celebrated for its ability to guide runners across the border of two provinces—Ontario and Québec—while passing iconic landmarks such as the Parliament Buildings, the Rideau Canal, and various historic neighborhoods. It is widely recognized as one of the fastest and most spectator-friendly courses in the country, attracting both elite international athletes and a deep field of recreational runners to the city each spring.
