Pro tips
- 01
Two loops, learn the first
The marathon is run on a two-loop course: use lap one to note the turns and beachfront stretches, then run lap two on ground you already know.

Out to the neighbors
Each loop leaves Royan and visits Vaux-sur-Mer and Saint-Georges-de-Didonne, so settle in through the middle before the return along the beaches.

A full weekend
A half marathon runs the same weekend, so expect a larger field and a busier start and finish area; plan to be there with time to spare.
