About
The race
The Gent Marathon (Sofico Gent Marathon) takes place in the Belgian city of Ghent and follows a loop course that runs through the historic city center and surrounding neighborhoods. Runners pass along canals, parks, and urban streets while experiencing Ghent’s medieval architecture and modern districts. The course is largely flat and fast, with long straight sections and minimal elevation change, making it accessible for runners targeting a steady pace.
