About
The race
Welcome to Acadiana’s oldest half marathon, a race that blends southern charm, natural beauty, and a course variety you won’t find anywhere else in Lafayette. Road race options: Half Marathon (USATF certified single loop). Whether you’re chasing a personal record or simply soaking in the scenery, our race director is there to cheer every runner across the finish line , celebrating every story of perseverance and achievement. And yes, do really well and you might win one of our legendary homemade alligator head trophies , crafted by Cajun Ben. Since its start in 2002, and becoming a proud supporter of TRAIL in 2010, the Cajun Country Run has grown. Proceeds benefit TRAIL’s investments in Acadiana Park & Nature Station , as well as local schools. Over the years, TRAIL has purchased property to expand the park, funded improvements to the mountain bike trails, and supported the community’s outdoor recreation spaces. Join us in running for a cause, exploring beautiful courses, and celebrating the heart of Acadiana. Learn more about courses, parking, and the park at www.CajunCountry.RUN and discover TRAIL’s work…
