The race
The Bucharest Marathon takes runners through Romania’s historic capital, combining wide boulevards with impressive architectural landmarks. The course passes iconic sites such as the Palace of the Parliament, one of the largest administrative buildings in the world. Runners also travel through lively squares and modern districts while experiencing the city’s unique blend of history and culture. Enthusiastic spectators line many parts of the route, creating an energetic race atmosphere.
