• Getting Around Newport

  Downtown Newport and the harbor area are compact, but race-day road closures make driving frustrating. Park away from the course and walk or ride a bike to the start and viewing spots.

• Where to Watch

  Spectators get good views around the harbor and along the Bellevue Avenue mansion district. Easton's Beach and the Cliff Walk area are also natural spots to catch runners near the water.

• After the Race

  Recover with a slow wander along the harbor and Thames Street, then a gentle stretch out toward the ocean drives. Newport's seafaring character makes lingering on foot the best way to unwind.
