The Sydney Half Marathon offers one of the most recognizable city routes in Australia. The race begins in the city center and quickly reaches the Sydney Harbour Bridge, where runners cross above the harbor with sweeping views of the skyline. The course continues along waterfront roads and through central districts before finishing near the Sydney Opera House. The terrain includes several rolling sections due to the city’s natural hills, with a few moderate climbs and descents along the route. Despite these changes in elevation, the course remains manageable for most runners.
