About
The race
The Scottish Half Marathon is a fast, visually stunning point-to-point race held just outside of Edinburgh in East Lothian. Beginning at the Meadowmill Sports Centre, the 13.1-mile route drops pleasantly downhill over the opening miles before flattening out along the spectacular East Lothian Golf Coast. Runners are treated to gorgeous, sweeping views of the North Sea coastline, sandy beaches, and historic villages. The race concludes with a magnificent grandstand finish at Musselburgh Racecourse, Scotland’s oldest racecourse. Known for its welcoming atmosphere, incredible scenic beauty, and very fast profile, it’s a premier late-summer destination for both first-timers and seasoned runners chasing a personal best.
