About
The race
The Detroit Marathon offers one of the most unique marathon courses in North America. The race includes an international route that crosses the Ambassador Bridge into Canada before returning to the United States through the Detroit–Windsor Tunnel. Runners experience views of the Detroit skyline, the Detroit River, and several historic districts along the way. The event is known for its excellent organization and enthusiastic crowds who line the streets throughout the race. With its international crossing, urban scenery, and vibrant atmosphere, the Detroit Marathon provides a distinctive and memorable running experience in the American Midwest.

Online registration for the Marathon and Half Marathons will be open through 11:59 p.m. Sept. 8, 2026 unless sell-out capacity is reached earlier.
