About
The race
The Cracovia Royal Half Marathon characteristic finish line in the darkened largest sports and entertainment hall in Poland, the TAURON Arena Kraków, is a unique setting that remains in the memory for a long time. Covering 21km, runners see Kraków's most famous monuments, including Wawel Castle, the Cloth Hall, the Barbican, the Florian Gate and historic churches such as St Mary's Basilica, the churches of St Apostles Peter and Paul, Na Skałce and others. They also pass modern landmarks including the ICE Kraków Congress Centre, the Father Bernatek Footbridge and the Manggha Museum of Japanese Art and Technology. The race forms the centrepiece of the Royal Triad of Running alongside the Cracovia Marathon and the Three Mounds' Run, and is part of the Crown of Polish Half Marathons.

Pro tips
Racing it
- 01
Flat but Not Free
The half marathon is listed as flat, with 90 m of total climb over 21km. Treat it as a steady effort rather than a hill-free jog; gentle rises can still bite late.

Monument Checkpoints
You pass Wawel Castle, Cloth Hall, Barbican, Florian Gate, St Mary's Basilica and more. Use these landmarks as mental checkpoints instead of weaving across the road for photos.

Dim Indoor Finish
The finish line is in the darkened TAURON Arena Kraków. After open streets, the dim hall can disrupt rhythm, so keep your cadence and form steady to the line.

Royal Triad Context
The race is the centerpiece of the Royal Triad of Running with the Cracovia Marathon and Three Mounds' Run, and part of the Crown of Polish Half Marathons. Expect a local running crowd.

Race-Day Getting Around
Kraków's Old Town and riverfront areas can be very crowded on race morning. Expect road closures around the center, so use trams or walk where you can and allow extra time.
Best Spectator Spots
Spectators can watch near the Old Town, Wawel Castle and the Vistula boulevards. These landmarks let you move between viewing spots while staying close to the action.
Recover and Explore
After the race, an easy walk along the Vistula boulevards or through Błonia Meadow helps sore legs. Kraków's compact mix of Old Town streets, Kazimierz and river paths rewards slow exploring on foot.
