The race
For 20 years, runners from every state and a few continents have made the trip north for race weekend in Charlevoix. The course is famously flat and fast — the kind of day that turns Boston dreams into Boston entries. Everything starts and finishes on Park Avenue in downtown Charlevoix. In between: Lake Michigan, the South Pier Lighthouse, the Mushroom Houses, and a stretch of crushed-granite trail through Fisherman's Island State Park — with the most spectacular views imaginable.
